Purpose: This event is a therapy dog visit (with their handlers) where the Reading with Rover teams are available to visit with students. Secondary Academy for Success (SAS) High School is a school for students that have challenges and are unable to be successful in general public schools so need an extra boost of help to be successful. We would be meeting in their Library and it would be only for 12 students to visit with our Teams. This event would be like a “college finals week” for Stress Relief for the students. The students would make the rounds of all the dogs in attendance.
Important Info: This event is not for new teams that are currently being shadowed. 1 year or more of volunteer experience is required for this event. Must have your photo badge and currently active with your dog in pet therapy.
